The Difference
WHY NONNA'S
Most olive oil on grocery shelves is months — sometimes years — past its peak. Here's what makes ours different.

I DON'T DO BLENDS. I DON'T DO FILTERS. I DON'T DO FANCY. I DO IT RIGHT. LIKE I DO EVERYTHING ELSE.

Questions
FREQUENTLY ASKED
What makes Nonna's Olive Oil different from other olive oils?
Nonna's is a single-varietal extra virgin olive oil made from 100% Biancolilla olives sourced from a single grove in Sicily. No blends, no dilution — just one varietal, one grove, every bottle traceable back to the source.
What does Nonna's Olive Oil taste like?
Smooth and balanced with a light fruitiness and a slightly peppery finish. That peppery note isn't a flaw — it's the sign of a fresh, high-polyphenol EVOO. It mellows on the palate and leaves your dish brighter, not greasier.
How should I use Nonna's Olive Oil?
It shines as a finishing oil — drizzled over salads, pasta, roasted vegetables, crusty bread, fish, eggs, even ice cream. You can absolutely cook with it too, but most of our customers save it for the moment a dish hits the plate.
Can I cook with Nonna's, or is it just for finishing?
Yes — cook with it freely. The smoke point is well above standard sauté temperatures, so it holds up in the pan. That said, the flavor and freshness come through most when you use it raw, so we lean toward finishing whenever the dish allows.
Is Nonna's actually 100% pure olive oil?
Yes. One ingredient: 100% extra virgin olive oil. No seed oils, no canola, no "olive oil blends." Lab-tested every harvest and certified at the source in Sicily.
Why is Nonna's more expensive than store-bought olive oil?
Better olives, careful Sicilian sourcing, and small-batch production. Most grocery-shelf EVOO is months (sometimes years) past peak by the time you buy it; Nonna's is cold-pressed within hours of harvest and shipped straight from the grove. You're paying for fresher oil with more flavor and more naturally occurring polyphenols.
